The Krowd App is a mobile app by Darden Restaurants Inc., which allows its employees to access the Krowd Darden system or portal through their phones. The Krowd app is currently available only on PlayStore, so you must have an Android phone (or tablet) to access this app.
Additionally, it’s better if you have already completed the onboarding process, and thus have your username and password available.
It’s worth mentioning that Darden is a large company with several well-known restaurant chains under its umbrella. This includes famous names like Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse, and many more. Employees at any of the nine brands in Darden’s portfolio will likely want to use the KrowD app.
Finding And Installing The Krowd App
As already noted, Krowd App is only available for Android phones at the moment. Also, the name Krowd App can be a misnomer, since Darden no longer uses it. The original KrowD app has not been updated since 2019. Instead, Darden has moved to a different system.

- Search for “Darden Employee Portal” the app will have “KrowD” as its logo or click here
- Install app
Before you install the app, check that the developer/promoter of the app is listed as Darden Restaurants, Inc. This ensures you’re installing the correct app from the authentic source.
You might notice that the app is called “Darden Employee Portal” and not by its better-known name, the KrowD app.
Well, it so happens that Darden Restaurants originally named the app “Krowd”. In fact, the employee management system is called Krowd. The old app can still be seen on the PlayStore.
However, this app has not been updated since 2019 and is no longer actively supported by the company. As such, employees should use the new app, as listed above.
Accessing Krowd App
Once you have the app installed, simply tap on the Krowd app on your phone to open it. As it opens, it will request your login ID and password. First time users should complete their registration at work, since additional details might be necessary.
Those who do have their loginID and password should enter their information and tap on the login button.
After a successful login, users can access many features on the KrowD app, including:
- Viewing your schedule, managing and swapping shifts
- Accessing the paycheck
- Real time notifications
- Connecting and sending messages to coworkers
- Accessing benefits
- Company news
- Fingerprint sign-in (on compatible devices)
